Our Founders

Satori was co-founded by Dr. Karen Dallas and Blair Greenwood, bringing together ceremonial training, lived experience, and medical expertise.

Together, they are committed to offering guided Iboga work in a way that is ethical, respectful, and deeply human — honoring both the medicine and the individuals who come to engage with it.

Both founders bring lived experience, rigorous preparation, and a shared commitment to doing this work slowly, responsibly, and with integrity.

They have been formally initiated into the Missoko tradition in Gabon and continue to approach this work with humility and respect for its origins.

A Note On Readiness

Not everyone who feels curious about Iboga is ready to work with it.

Readiness involves emotional stability, honesty, support systems, and a willingness to be guided. Sometimes the most responsible outcome of an application is a recommendation to wait.

Satori views discernment as part of care.

Why We Created Satori

Satori was created from a shared recognition that many people are searching for deeper clarity, healing, and meaning in their lives — yet truly safe and intentional spaces for this kind of inner work can be difficult to find.

Our own journeys led us through years of personal exploration, study, and transformative experiences that revealed the profound potential of this work when it is approached with humility, preparation, and care. We saw how powerful these experiences can be when they are held within an environment grounded in integrity, thoughtful guidance, and genuine respect for the traditions that carry this knowledge forward.

At the same time, we believe it is important to bridge ancient wisdom with modern responsibility. Creating a retreat environment that prioritizes safety, careful preparation, and meaningful integration helps ensure that profound experiences can translate into lasting change.

Satori was created to offer a space where individuals can step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with themselves in a deeper way — a place where reflection, honesty, and personal insight are welcomed and supported.

The word Satori comes from Zen Buddhism and refers to a moment of sudden clarity or awakening — a glimpse of one’s true nature beyond the noise of the thinking mind. It reflects the quiet but powerful realization that can arise when we allow ourselves the space to look within.

Our intention is simple: to create an environment where people can rediscover their inner clarity, reconnect with purpose, and return to their lives with greater understanding and authenticity.
